(45 minute decant) A lot of spice on the nose, particularly cloves. Less so on the palate, which was rounded out with some black olive and meaty flavors. Long finished with a little tannins remaining; could probably age at least another year.
(A-) Nose with red fuit, warm spice, and a tiny bit of vine leaf and pencil lead. Flavors of boysenberry, flint, wood, and a bit of edible flowers. Nicely put together. A trace tannic on the side palate, but smooth on the finish.
