Reasonable Bordeaux-Blend from Chile that is a bit on the simple, one-dimensional side. Nothing bad but nothing you get excited about too. Still within the drinking-window for maybe another 1 or 2 yrs.

very dark purple. Nose is blackberry and dark cherry, with tobacco and some spice.
Dark fruit attack, with some chocolate, wonderful body and mouthfeel, sweet tannins, nice finish. probably my favorite wine of the night thus far. The syrah comes through; this is a big boy steak wine.
5/5

The Pequeñas Chile Tasting: Boutique Wineries of Chile (Bridgewater Hall, Manchester): 38% carmenère, 28% cabernet sauvignon, 20% syrah, 14% cabernet franc
A rather muted nose. Lotes of juiciness on the pleasant palate. But overall it feels a bit straightforward and a bit safe.
