  This showed well. DD at 1 pm prior to consumption. Ripe, rich and tasty.

  Tasted at a school fundraiser La Paulee. Dark ruby red with pink rim. Redcurrant, unripe raspberry, dark cherry, wood, spices, baguette, and earth. Medium-full bodied, medium-high acidity, medium-high tannin, medium-high structure, medium alcohol and long finish. Complex, dense and refined. Fruits were still fresh despite the bottle age. Ready to enjoy now, and would probably improve in 5-10 years when more tertiary notes develop.

  2010 Was a Good Vintage in France (Jordan's Place - Chicago IL): Open 3 hours with splash decant. Elefant and completely charming, this is wonderfully accessible low with so much more in reserve.

  felt very closed down when I decanted it at 11am... opened some by dinner (at Spruce in SF, 1st time, good food fo sho) but not enough to make this a 94 or 95 as some have rated it... I would probably wait 3-4 years to try my next (have 7 more of this vintage)... by that time it could be a true classic based on prior notes
