(La Follette Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast) This regional bottling is a classic, voluptuous, sumptuously fruited North Coast style of Pinot—but with earthy, forest-floor, almost soy-like nuances whispering into the ear like a husky-voiced harlot. The chubby young fruit mixes red and black berries with a touch of cola, its lacy sweetness barely hiding sharp, bony tannins. Winery Spotlight: La Follette Wines

Had with grilled red snapper. Cherry, bing cherry, stemmy, touch of forest floor on nose. On palate, bright cherry, cranberry primarily. Medium body, great mouthfeel and high acids make this very food friendly. Medium+ to long finish. Very enjoyable wine & excellent with food. 91-92 range. Would buy again.
