  • Inaugural vintage for this wine. Decanted and put back into the bottle for two hours before drinking. Dark purple color. Almost brooding. Very 99 in nature. This is at the very beginning of it drinking window and will be a 40+ year wine. Great balance of fruit, structure and acidity. Red fruit, dark fruit, charcoal and ash, moderate spice with some earth and forest floor, good complexity. Overall a great wine from a great producer.

  • This wine is in a terrific spot. The nose explodeds from the glass with light red cherry and asian spice. It's so light and airy it glides across your palate and is a wonderfull collage of flavor. Very balanced and silky fine. The wine was decanted for 30 minutes and then followed in the glass for about 90 minutes and it continued to reach new highs up to the last sip. No rush i believe but so good right now.
