  • This outstanding wine was deep yellow when I poured it right after removing the saturated cork from the bottle. At first the nose was closed but later released an exotic burnt toast, as if laced with a hint of honey. Nice and full in the mouth, with a mellow and satisfying acid combined with smooth oak and, in the distant background, a touch of honey, minerals, and apples. A long satisfying finish, balancing the oak, fruit and acid. This wine lasted the whole meal, revealing more at each taste. I think it was the right time to drink it, and will try my other 2000 Burgundies soon.

  • Very nice. Really enjoyed this. Unfortunately, I can't remember my tasting thoughts from last night so I'll record on the next one.
