  • Wine soaked all the full length of cork, may have affected the aeration. Opened, light ruby-red, nose notes of gabbage, earth, vanilla, hints of oak coming through. Decanted after half an hour, fair amount of sediment, fortunately no disintegrated cork pieces. The gabbage smell soon dissipated, leaving dry cherries, strawberry, mouldy wood, orange skin and salted fish. Dry palate of fruits, cherries, acid showing up at the back of palate. Little tannin, dry finish. Drink now, may have peaked.
