Deep marmalade colour. Very rich and round. Plenty of sweetness but good enough acidity to balance it. Personally I would prefer something a little more elegant and fruit reminiscent rather than essence of sweet shop but still enjoyable.

Absolutely fabulous. Deep brassy gold. Rich honeyed nose with caramelised apples, dried dark fruits and dried apricots. Gorgeously unctuous with layers of honey but without being overly sweet or cloying.

From half bottle. This one did not get enough time to show its true self. Popped and poured with rhubarb pie. A bit funky and closed at first. Only the last drops were showing some depth, freshness and complexity, but it was too late. Should have decanted or opened well in advance.

At this price range (£18 for a fully mature Sauternes) very good value for money. Whilst far from outstanding, plenty of complex fruit and good acidity. Quite long although not a lot of depth or real richness, but still a very pleasant partner to a Pear and Almond tart.

Drank at Otto's
So better than the last bottle I had but still lacking something in it's mid palate.
