I couldn't help but open another 1/2 bottle of this wine after having one last week. From a 375, this is drinking beautifully now, but will obviously age for quite a while yet. There is lush dark red fruit, garrique, maybe a little lead pencil and cola notes. There is definitely a tannic backbone and nice acidity to make this age for another 5 years.
Beautiful bouquet with ripe and lush red berry fruits. On the palate a slightly sweet start with ripe and juicy fruits, pleasant vanilla from the oak, good acidity and round tannin which is also slightly sticky. A beautiful and firm wine which is in its early maturity stage now. Possibly even a little more complete in 2017, but already a great pleasure.
