  Held up surprisingly well over 1.5hrs at dinner. Aged, wet leather and mild tobacco layer neatly on the nose with subtle red fruits on the palate delivering a lightweight, medium-length finish with mouth-coating, well-balanced acidity. Color is a nearly translucent garnet when held to the candle, with surprisingly little sediment even relative to a delicious but still heavier '96 D-L BM enjoyed alongside it. Would that we had any more of this gem.
