Like noted below, this would easily have been blinded as a Chard, mainly because of oak and oily texture, as well as grassy hints on the nose. Marked acidity, very good length, overall quite rewarding. Will probably evolve into a more mature stage but with less energy over the next couple of years.

Same bottle as collector. First bottle from a case bought years back Slow ox’ed for about 1h. The typical cat pee on the nose, very complex and slightly oily palette, very good length. While we very rarely drink white Bordeaux as the wines lack a bit lift and freshness on the mid palate for my taste, this was an excellent and in my eyes very typical white Bordeaux (so rather surprised by blind guesses all on Chardonnay)

During a casual tasting dinner. Tasted blind. Beautiful nose here, citrus, underbrush, a whiff of smoke, herbs. I thought it was a Meursault. The clever oak treatment here made this feel like a sophisticated Chard. Would need a bit more tension and acidity on the palate for a higher score, but very good.

Delicious. Needed time out of the cooler and in the glass to open.

In der Nase und im Mund voll, cremig, Mischung von reifen, hellen Früchten, Honig, Karamell. Interessant! Sicher noch weitere 5 Jahre gut.
