A nose of sweet dark fruits and spice, dark purple in color. A medium to full bodied red, with blackberry, black cherry, some chocolate and spice on finish, was very good, drank over 3 weeks. www.winelx.com

Starting with a pop and pour. Reticent aromas of black fruit and menthol. Dark fruit flavors, grip. Intense licorice finish with moderate heat. It's giving up a bit, but it's relatively closed.
Day 2: Both the aroma and flavors have opened up, but the overall profile has not changed. There is greater depth and a better articulated structure, though it is still (by Port standards) pretty simple.

(Gould Campbell Late Bottled Vintage Port) Filtered; bottled 2010. Spicy aromas and fine purity of grape are accompanied by a bit of heat that blew off after a few hours. Framed by boysenberry, tar, herbs, and an assortment of black fruits, the palate has a distinct sense of enticing freshness. Lively acidity, velvety tannins, and a hot streak in the midpalate and finish were evident even two days later, but the wine fleshed out nicely in a relatively long, berry-laden aftertaste. Will drink best from 2011 to 2017. LBV: The Other Vintage Port
