Crusty notes of lime, lemon and tropical fruit. I detect a beginning of maturity with petrol but the overall impression is a lively GG with depth and focus. The green tones I found in the last bottle is gone. The palate is simply fantastic, amzing depth and focus. I always end up thinking about the depth and elegance in this wine, great craftsmanship, the quality is impossible to miss. Rich flavours of tropical fruit, lime and lemon, in that order. Beautiful creamy acidity, this will live and develop for a very long time. Fat and oily texture, long aftertaste. Great stuff.
Clear, bright. Pale yellow. No legs, some sheeting. Medium + intensity developed nose. Petrol, yellow and green fruit. Palate is complex with similar notes to nose, green apples, gooseberry?, citrus. Medium + acidity, nicely balanced. Bone dry. Medium finish. A lovely well made wine, will be very interesting a few years and has the acidity to age.
Beautifully layered wine with citrus pear and peach, as well as mineral notes which were possibly due to the searing acidity dissolving my teeth. The rest of the case needs locking up for 5 years before being safe to let out on an unsuspecting public.

(Dönnhoff Dellchen Riesling Grosses Gewächs) ($69.00) This is the above guy’s considerably more accommodating wife. She smells of the kitchen and the soup she has simmering. She attends to your comfort. But she has a bookcase above the eating table, containing her many volumes of poetry.
