Epic last bottle of the vintage in the cellar. Served with Christmas cassoulet, the wine had mellowed but showed remarkable fruit meshed with forest floor. Long finish. Just remarkable.

I have only given 95 or 96 pts about 1% of the time, but this wine deserved it completely, this was light on it feet / elegant / bright & shiny with good acidity, but nonetheless have heft / punch... everyone loved it, with bold Syrah fruit but the complexity that I find comes with Mourvèdre.... yummy, unfortunately I bought this for less than $100 and now it costs around $500 to $600

Montréal; 9/23/2022-9/24/2022 (Montréal, QC): At Rouge Gorge. A very impressive wine with plenty of syrah notes on the nose -- brine, olives, and all that. Definitely feels like a wine with some Northern Rhône sensibilities. On the palate this is incredibly rich and there is so much fruit it leaves you with a distinct sensation of sweetness. High acidity but tannins that are very much dialled in. A pleasure to try, but at the going tariff, a much less convincing sell.

Well it was balanced and mature. Don’t keep it for too long.

Just exquisite tonight with basque food. Even better than the previous bottle.
