Very good flavors of stone fruit, persimmon, and lemongrass, along with botrytis imparted mushroom, umami, and petrol derivatives. Light, even slightly thin, though certainly enjoyable.

We drank a half bottle over a couple of nights. Easy drinker with lots of honey and a heavy mouthfeel. Fruit was muted. Not extraordinarily complex or layered, but enjoyable nonetheless. Began to feel a little cloying towards the end of night 2.

Wow, even though we just killed a baby, this is one heck of a wine. Fine sediment at the bottom of the first of two half bottles that we purchased. Pours medium gold. The nose is a bit austere at this stage, but still offers Sauternes' staple aromas of wax, pear, honey, cereal, and petrol. Quite generous on the palate by comparison; the honey really dominates, but pears and grilled peaches are also easily found. Not to mention raisins and other port fruits, sweet honey cough drops (yes...I said honey twice), and baking spices. High acidity leaves your mouth tingling through the long finish. Very pretty. Rock steady profile after 2 hours between glasses after a splash decant.
Clearly this has lots of room to develop. We may have committed infanticide. However, this is not so tightly wound that it is unapproachable at this stage. If you have multiple bottles, pull a cork! It will not disappoint. We will call this wine "excellent," 92/100, at this stage.

Shared with friends at BBQ. Honeysuckle, slight apricot, pleasant nuttiness. Medium viscosity. Restrained bouquet for now.
