  Le top de la dégustation. Après 27 ans, l'acidité demeure : le potentiel de garde est toujours là. Beaux arômes tertiaires qui se mêlent aux fruits rouges et au chêne. La longueur est au RDV. Une fantastique bouteille : vivement les prochaines !

  Piedmont Night at Winil on March 16, 2018 (Winil, Moscow): 93/100. F-R-E-S-H
  
  Definitely one of the best Barberas around there. Dog-rose, red berries, sour cherries, bright and sharp acidity piecing the palate like a spear.
  
  Light, but with complex structure and good balance (well, adjusted for the abode mentioned higher than usual acidity).
  
  This magnum of 1997 was not a notch tired or weary - no, it was the essence of life itself. Certified fresh. A totally pleasant surprise.

  Remarkable bargain for a 20 year old bottle. Absolutely fresh with dried flowers and herbs and savory flavored as it opened up over about 90 mins.

  This wine was still full of fuits. Intense aromas of licorice. It opened up after a little while. Very nice, long finish. Well worth it.

  Brownish colour, nicely showing its age. Smokey notes, plummy, spices, tar. Round and smooth on the palate, not much but still some grip left. Great mouthfeel and complexity, quite fresh too, long. I enjoyed this wine, but past its peak. Drink up.
