Some more Sunday wines (Chicago, IL): Certainly a pinot in a very ripe, seductive style, with plenty of sweet black fruit, but this is actually handled in a very nice way. Plenty of spice, and no headiness at all. It's a riper wine, aging along nicely. I'm not sure what the secondary characteristics here will be, but this is in a lovely spot right now.

14.8% alcohol. Light red color. Initially muted nose that opened up but never quite matched the beautiful palate. Bright, vibrant, delicious black cherry, red cherry, and baking spice notes. Lovely acidity. Juicy, delicious finish. This is really an excellent Pinot with lively character. A-/A

A beautiful light ruby color, fading to a tawny rim. The nose reveals cocoa, wet soil, raspberry and red cherry aromas, cola, and spice. The palate shows a fresh and zesty wine, med in body, with nice acidity and reeled-in fruit flavors that are well-cloaked in terroir. Drinking perfectly now, and will likely continue to do so thru 2018+. Quite nice.

Color was a cloudy garnet (unfined & unfliter). Nose subtle with hints of raspberry, cherry. Palate medium with a smooth soft texture. Nice easy drinking Pinot. See better from past memory. 4,13,14,6=87

Transparent ruby with some sienna tints on edges.
Nose explosive dark fruit.
Palate orange pith, some raspberry, strongly mineral backbone.
Lovely, not shy but with that said nice balance overall, and still vibrant.
