Apprehensively approached this aged Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley. Plenty of bricking which makes identifying old PN tricky but still showing hints of pale ruby. Disappointing nose, closed off even after an hour of decanting, hints of must. Surprisingly wonderful palate, still tasting red fruit, well balanced acidity, tannins fully evolved, medium bodied but a tad tired. Perhaps at it's a peak a couple of yrs ago. Our cousins across the pond need to appreciate ageing their wonderful wines

Oregon Pinot Noir (Mark's): Ruby/brown in color. The nose has raspberries and slight milk chocolate notes. On the palate, tart raspberries. Interesting wine and I had I now known it was Pinot, I might have guessed Grenache. It was a bit of an outlier, but all that said, it was not a bad wine.

Decanted 45+ min. Very typical Pinot Noir. Light rose color. Light body. Pleasant red berry flavor with a slight touch of minerality. Good example and paired well with fish in orange/ mango sauce. .
