Nose of black olive and garrigue. Big blueberry and blackberry flavors swirl with a herb and a bit of tar and ash. Acidity very much present but in check. No tannins to speak of and the finish is prodigious. 1st of 4 bottles, will be great to watch this evolve.
Bottle 2 of 6; 18 months since #1. Ready to drink, now. Will probably continue to get better. Nose of green pepper and bacon. Flavors are rich, with funky berry, graphite and loam. Finish is a marathon. Absolutely lovely. S would give it a 98.
Superbly integrated fruit, raspberries and cherries, well balanced and surprisingly soft after a bit of time in the glass. Really pleasant to sip, and the only thing holding back the rating points is lack of complexity in the nose; maybe that will still develop before the fruit and acid fade too much.
Lovely wine. Extremely clean with a very interesting flavor profile similarly to the best wines coming out the rocks and Les Collines. An excellent wine with little dislike, excellent fruit, acid and tannin integration. Great mid-palate rolls to a long finish. Drinking well now with a good decant, and I'm glad to have some in the cellar to see how it develops. Exceptional. PDQ94+
Vindredi (Bellevue, WA): Double-decanted 4 hours prior to tasting. Ripe blueberry, roasted meats, and an earthy funk on the nose. Touch of heat, too. Super smooth, supple body. Great fruit (big, ripe, and juicy), earthiness, and umami, with super-fine tannins and an incredible finish that lingers for quite some time. Definitely needs a big decant if drinking now.
