PNP after Thanksgiving dinner. This kept getting better with each sip! After opening up for an hour it was exceptional. Smoked meats, ripe olives, tannins were well integrated. I’m very happy I have 5 more bottles to enjoy.

The nose presents itself as a pinot, ripe with earthiness. The palate gives you some raspberry, tobacco, and earthiness before a wave of typical syrah spiciness takes over. Very good!
EDIT: After an hour, ash and smoke really started to appear, especially in the palate. Very nice addition lol

Decanted for around 20 mins. Medium purple color, still very dark for a 10+ year old wine. Nose was rocking with blackberry, blueberry, a bit of smoke, tar, violets, and some charred wood. Still more fruit than secondary notes even at this point but plenty of complexity. Medium+ acid, medium sweet tannins, smooth mouthfeel and long finish. Delicious wine and paired great with roast lamb loin and red wine glazed carrots and mushrooms. Still has plenty of life ahead of it.

(Force Majeure Collaboration Series II Red Wine Ciel du Cheval Red Mountain) Glass staining with abundant mineral aromas along with a light gaminess, iron, and a floral lift, this is a wine you could just sit and smell and be totally satisfied. Ah but to drink! The palate is perfumed with a soft, restrained elegance and bright fruit flavors and a light pepper note. A simply gorgeous wine. 98% Syrah, 1% Viognier, 1% Roussanne. Aged in French oak (30% new). 14.2% alcohol. 187 cases produced. Ross Mickel winemaker.
