burgundy-style chardonnay from Lombardia. Deep yellow color, intense of nose of gentle oak merged with butter, in the mouth shows some vanilla and citrus with a long finish. Maurizio Zanella, king of bollicine, confirms his ability in top winemaking. One of the best Italian chardonnays. At Cracco's with tagliatelle ai funghi with L&L

good chardonnay from Lombardy Curtefranca with some vanilla and peche, butter and citrus. But pretty below expectations. Short final and poor at the nose, probably since it was served in the wrong glass at Armani's Milan.

Quite a lot of particles for a Chardonnay + Pinot Bianco!? Very gentle lemon'ish and elegant creamy nose. Some lemon zest and seemingly profound mineral depth, too. The taste appears to be very fresh, nicely balanced, very mute oak, punchy fruit, maybe a bit modern (not too much, just fine), good accessibility without being dull or one-dimensional. Really nice white blend for not so much money!!!

Pale yellow color. Strong lemon on the nose along with a distant vanilla caramel notes. Fat wine as a superb should be. A very pleasant regional wine that was excellent with PD still this time around. Maurizio Zanella and the Marzotto's (can you tell the Pinot white?) a benchmark in bollicine but also in white and red wines

MWS Wine Tasting and Dinner (Restaurant Jaimie van Heije, Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, NL): Rich nose, herbs and lemon, good integration of spicy oak, very good depth, opens up well; remarkably crisp acidity, juicy and vibrant, creamy lemon, elegant, more elegance than the nose announces, intense flavours; good length.
