Another deep purple wine, alongside the 08 Qupe Sawyer Lindquist and syrahs from France and Australia. Spice notes on top of black and white pepper, leather, clove and cigar box. This wine has strength without being muscular and is well balanced. Tannins are well integrated with crisp acid and a polished mouth-feel. Another good with with food.

Again, the Chilean wines are demonstrating great QPR! Initial notes slighly muted with dirt, moss and forrest floor and as the wine opens up in the glass there's an evolution to blackberry jam and light cassis notes. Smooth palate with exceptional balance for this medium bodied wine. Expressions of blueberry, bramble, and clove spice are released elegantly on the palate. The finish is very good for a wine at this price point as it lasts for over a minute culmanating with pepper and clove spices.

The wine has probably achieved it's peak. Time to drink up. A new floral bouquet is developing
