Blind Burgundy Tasting (Chateau Craigs): from magnum nose - bitter cherry, caramel/oak, smoky mouth - well delineated red fruit, rich, spicy finish. will improve with time. My WOTN.

I thought this might a shorter-term cellaring prospect given vintage conditions but this wasn't the case at all. Just entering its window now as an 8yr old and has some life ahead. Quite robust with ripe mildly stewed fruits and tingly acid across nose and palate. Some minerals in the palate together with more acid. More Central Otago than Burgundy perhaps but not a lesser wine as a result.
