My last bottle and I think my best to date. Double decanted for 1 to 2 hours. Today this is showing rich, forward red and dark pinot fruit, loamy earth, spice and soft chalky tannins on the finish. This has evolved nicely, displaying good depth and complexity.

Knightsbridge Holiday Burgundy Sale (Northbrook, IL): Black and red cherry aromas and flavors with moderate spice, even if not quite so floral. Shows the vintage's 2003 ripeness, but on the right side of remaining in balance.

I bought this before reading the CT reviews and if I had read the reviews I possibly wouldn't have purchased it, however, after tasting it I am not dissappointed with my purchase. For those looking for a pure Burgundian experience, I can understand why they might be dissappointed with this wine. This is a fairly big, burly wine with forward dark fruit, deep, earthy undertones and tannins that are still quite grippy. If I didn't know what I was drinking I would confidently say this is a good, Burgundian styled Oregon PN. It lacks the subtlty and finesse that I so enjoy in red Burgundy but it is in no way a bad bottle of wine, in fact, it is quite good. If it was from Oregon , I would say it was excellent because of its Burgunian characteristics.

Just brutal. Exemplary of the worst this vintage has to offer. Glad it didn't by many '03 Burgundies.
