Community Tasting Notes (3) Avg Score: 90 points

  • 11th of 12, opened an hour, perfect cork and level, still little rim development and more attractive than last bottle in July 18, in fact the bouquet would justify a much higher rating but there's an angularity and lack of material at the margin which detracts and by now scant scope for upside. Still VGI (17).

  • 10th of 12, decanted 3o minutes, perfect cork and level, given age still quite youthful, all structure, fruit rather hollowed out and past best, rather drying, though some fruit emerged with coaxing, felt like hard work, drink up! At best VG (16).

  • 8th of 12, perfect fill, not decanted - med deep garnet, little rim development, classy pure plum and cherry fruit on nose with some meat and spice, medium bodied and technically long and persistent pure fruit with excellent energy and grip, though the flavours needed coaxing and the last glass was the best, boy these 95s are taking their time to hit their stride. Currently fine (17.5/20), potentially better.
