  • Brought this to high-end tasting, where it was served blind. It scored 95-97 around the table.

Very low quantities made, but damn is this a jammy, sexy, but at same time aristocratic wine !

Within it's drinking window now, but would benefit from more bottle time or some decanting.

    Drink ( & enjoy ) or hold !

  • Light in color, the sweet cherry, vanilla, licorice and smoke take little effort to find. On the palate, the wine is soft, medium bodied and already expressive, finishing with black raspberries and a bit of licorice.

  • Using the highest proportion of Cabernet Franc in the Pessac Leognan appellation, 60% Cabernet Franc and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine offers smoke, earth, red and black fruit, spicy cassis, earth, and herbs. Medium bodied and soft in texture, this is a wine of finesse and elegance. From vines planted next to Chateau Haut Brion, very little wine is produced. On average, there is only 300 cases made per year. The wine is produced with the efforts of Stephane Derenoncourt. 89-91 Pts
