Starts off fairly tight, with some prominent tannins. Opens up very nicely over several hours -- shows excellent and still primary fruit. Lots of upside -- revisit in about 3 years.

Clos de Bèze Tasting-Mostly Pierre Gelin (Arlequin Wines, San Francisco): Pale, significant browning. Fragrant secondary high tones. Lighter and much more structured than the 2009. Closed but still easy to discern soft red fruit and a ton of earth and minerality. This needs time but is an excellent 2008.
