This one just missed. Great aroma, with notes of baking spice, pepper and a really vibrant dark berry profile. Also a nice little savory note. On the palate, the tannins are just a little brash, while the spice overpowers the fruit slightly. Where I thought it lacked the most was in the integration of the tannins and that the acidity was a little lacking. That being said, there was a good weight to the wine, and a nice gaminess that helped a little with food pairing in lieu of the acidity.

Not showing much age, needed decanting, the tannins are nicely integrated intense and rounded flavours of blackberry, chocolate and spice

Typical McLaren vale shiraz, dark, a bit spicy, good nose opens up after 30 minutes.
