  • A heck of a wine. Very similar to my previous notes with even more depth and complexity. A monument of apricot skin and grape complexity. Almost tactile it is so layered yet still shows verve and the incredible lightness of Saar Riesling. The sweetness is coming through tonight but there is so much savory depth it matches brilliantly with sushi. Very sad this is my last bottle. Will last for decades. (97)

  • Absolutely stunning and almost a replica of the bottle opened in 2016. Maybe a bit more harmonious. The thing here is the absolute flavor rush - layer after layer of nectarine skin, honey crisp apple, and lime zest. The finish is taught and really balances the mid-palate sweetness. I have 1 bottle left - wish it was a case. Sublime, unique in the richness and agility quotient. Wow. (96)

  • Totally delicious, with lots of melony fruit, a hint of minty/thyme sweet green herbs, and a powerful wall of acid on the back end that is distinctly 2010. You certainly need to not mind acidity, but for my taste there's enough fruit concentration and a hint of sweetness to balance the acid. Only nit here is I would have liked a little more mineral/slate complexity. But lovely with various summery dishes. Not very evolved, I have no idea how these wines will age.

  • Paired with a spicy ramen. Excellent balance between razor sharp minerality with lush opulent melon and apricot fruit. A touch riper and sweeter than I normally enjoy as table wine, this worked quite nicely with a dish with moderate heat.

  • 18k gold color - deep. Incredible, penetrating nose of peach skin and prickly pear. What complexity on the palate! Layers and layers of flavor pop in your mouth. This is serious, real deal wine that has sweetness but is so balanced by Riesling extract that it doesn't appear to be a sweet wine. Wow. (95)
