Last puppy, was a little skeptical when I pulled it and the cork was soft. Used the Ah-so and it came out clean but probably would have broken. Pretty much pnp’d it initially was closed down but it didn’t take long for the primary fruit to appear with with secondary and some tertiary notes staying in the background. Tannins are mostly resolved but there is some grip there. Definitely a big wine on the first night, definitely needs some food. The second night is much easier to sip on its own. My favorite pairing is chocolate with this wine. I think this has quite a few more years ahead of it. Great stuff!

Didn't take notes - paired with grilled Salmon. Food friendly and good on it's own. Black olives, floral, blackberry, meat & earthy on nose & palate. 92+
I need to buy more current vintages of this wine. My last bottle of 4. This has aged well and was good on night 2 as well with no noticeable oxidation.

Very pretty; blackberry, smoke, earth, silky & sweet, some nice Syrah typicity but doesn't have much of that raw sauvage element that could really elevate this. A little polished and polite for my tastes but really hits the spot with brisket/cornbread/collards tonight. Drinks well now.

Oh my! What a beguiling wine. Hermitage all the way. Great nose; amazing mouth feel and texture. This is an amazing wine. I only have 1 more bottle; likely best to try in a year. I want more!
