Blind White Tasting with Top 2000 White Burgundy (Les Nomades - Chicago IL): One of the 2 highlights of the flight along with the Lafon 2000 Charmes. This was very lush, lush and enticing. Forward upfront with impressive intensity, but perhaps not the same depth and nuance as the Lafon. This was more fun and pleasurable today, but I'd expect the Lafon better long-term.

Still a baby and most likely opened this too early... Very nice ripe nose apple custard, lemon and mint. Not as minerally as I thought it would be. A slight hint of sulfur on the nose which is actually very nice. In the mouth very well balanced with good acidity and a very refreshing finish. I think this one needs at least another five years and I wish I had more but not at the current white Burg prices (ouch!)

Casual (Mostly) Burg Dinner with Friends (RPM Steak - Chicago IL): Very good weight and density with classic Meursault character of ripe apple and toasted hazelnut. Drinking nicely, but time to drink up.

2000 Vintage Great White Burgundy Dinner (Boka - Chicago IL): Mature apple aromas with background new oak spice. Slightly sweet character, also showing fairly advanced. Good minerality in middle and finish. Drink up.
