Grand Wines at the Grand Cafe (Grand Cafe, Mpls): Medium dark red color. PNP, drank 1 glass over an hour. This was much better than a bottle 18 months ago. This bottle really had a deeply earthy and iron stained nose and palate, with black cherry, currants, and fine grained tannins, that progresses to show more forest floor and shitake mushroom. 92+ to 93pts.

Wines That Really, Truly Don't Suck (in the least) (Rocknroller's (Kevin's)): Dark red color. PNP, drank 1 glass over 2 hours. This was on the rustic side with dark fruits, black cherry, plum, firm grainy tannins, oak and spices. I'm not entirely sure where this going on its journey. I'll have the chance to try it again and find out though.

Almost the same as 20 months ago, but a bit earthier and higher acidity. Very drinkable, and I like the earthiness and higher tannin level.
