  • More backbone than I expected for the vintage. A good showing of Gevrey earthiness with sour cherry and some bite. Very enjoyable.

  • This showed surprisingly young for an 2000 village level wine. It's got a lot of fruit stuffing and some firm tannins still to resolve. The nose, too, is still just emerging from its primary phase; the fruit is starting to relax into a nice, inviting red profile, and has a nice earthy quality to go with it. No harm to drink this now, but it will surely show more delineation on the palate with a few more years. Nice wine.
