  My merchant doesn't keep this on show thinking it might be past its best. To my mind he's mistaken but I'm not going to tell him. I find it delicious. Lovely intense smell of blackcurrants and licorice. Superb value if you like aged claret

  I had 2001 and 1999 before, and I have to say this is a weaker vintage. Still has the signature nose of Lalande, but it is more vibrante in general. Feels more fruit than 2001 yet less wet leather and pencil box. Medium body. May improve in 2 years time, but only time can tell. Still a steal given the price.
