C: white/yellow with greenish reflections N: powerful, screams 'riesling', on the apple to pineapple side rather than the lemon drop side or gunpowder/gas station side P: definitely off dry, i'd guess 15-20 g/l? medium weight and nicely but not overly acidic, flavours follow the nose, as it opens up more minerals appear (maybe flint) but no petrol. young and primary but who cares, riesling is good this way, too, especially on the 16th floor looking towards the north shore on the first day of summer. medium complexity and a middle of the road feel makes me wonder how long it will go but i'll probably be surprised if i manage to leave it alone for another 5 years to a decade.

Weekend at Zuli's; 2/16/2012-2/19/2012 (St. Catharines, Ontario): Very pale yellow, 11.4% abv, says "dry" yet there is a tad bit of RS on this wine. Floral nose of fresh peaches and honey, with wet stones apparent on the back end. Nice tropical fruit palate, with slight RS that is nicely supported by a firm acidity and a short-medium finish. Cave Springs has this daily-drinker Riesling down to a science. Great QPR.

Light clear yellow. Light nose of pears, with a touch of petro. Given the muted nose, this is surprisingly lucious and full with a good backbone of acidity offsetting the residual sugar nicely. There's a good bit of juicy exotic fruits in the mouth along with a pleasant floral edge. The finish is on the short end. Very refreshing indeed.
