  • With all due respect to Mr M, this juice is ready now. Elegance wafting in the glass straight out of the bottle !

  • ESBK wine swap. Drank in Conterno Sensory.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour with thin watery rim. Legs.
Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of sexy sous bois, rose hips, fragrant earth, red cherry fruits. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), fine medium tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet red cherries, red plums, sexy sous bois earth, licorice, light sweet spice, savoury salty cured meat. Unforgettably long finish.
Outstanding quality. Hands down the best Chapelle-Chambertin I have tasted before, besting many other Gevrey Grand Cru experiences I have had before even. In a good drinking place already, and no hurry also.

  • Big, dark fruited, savory character, with well integrated oak. This has depth and a very good mid-palate, would like to see a little more of a peacocks tail on the finish (93-94)

  • Wonderful. Drank it with some serious collectors, everyone liked it. This bottle was already much more open than 18 months ago. Great aromas of red fruit, stems, cured meat. Elegant, long, complex. Make sure you let it breathe for 1h before serving. Optimal drinking window is probably 2022-2035. Great QPR, 96+

  • Light garnet. Expressive nose of earthy notes, musk/gamey notes, very Chambertin like. Excellent complexity. Palate is light, pronounced acidity, good fruit, still closed, lots of potential. Drink after 2020.
