Time to drink of course. Do not decant. But enjoy the soft and subtle tones of this great St-Emilion made with love by the Fayat family. Do not wait. It will only fade further from here. Enjoy!

Clear deep red with tawny edges. Nose with plums, prunes, black figs and vanilla initially. Oak has given very nice vanilla, cedar and smoke notes. With time really opens out to vegetal (mushrooms, tea), sweet spice (cinammon, cloves). Dry palate medium acidity, medium tannins, medium body and medium length, black fruits against a background of sweet spice on the palate. Balanced and very good, intense and complex. With more air chocolate, leather and burnt earth nose (like the soil after a fire has passed over it) comes through which increases my liking of this wine. Still it lacks something that I can't get my head around.

I respect Robert Parker, but this wine does not belong in the 70s. Slightly herbaceous on the nose, the wine's silky tannins and hints of mocha and berry make it a St. Emilion of good value. Try at least a bottle.

Bought a hole case at a tasting and then it was very good...parker gave this 76-78...maybe the cask samples where flaw but this is just an excellent wine with the tipically buttery taste in it,nice fruit nice lenght very good tannin level and very big...seems 2004 BDX is very open for business right now, definitly will this bottle go asleep for a couple of years...
