Post the UVA tasting, we opened two of these to get the second group started. Popped and poured both bottles, drank over 45 minutes.
Medium/light ruby color, mild cloudiness. Bright red fruits, floral and earth notes on the nose. Palate was black cherry, herbs. Not overly new-worrld pinot - medium mouthfeel, silky. Slightly hot on the finish with some sweetness.
All in very nice, there is a chance this will put on some weight with a few more years in the cellar. Would give it an hour decant if you drink now (we did not), wine was performing much better towards the end.
Ruby color, with a nose of bright red fruits and a slight bit of funk. On the palate, it's got very fine drying tannins, darker red fruits, dried berry/cherry. Quite bit of structure left and it needs time to smooth out.
