  • Drinking very nicely now with pretty red & purple fruit, gentle tannins and a solid center core. Quite nice wine for this Domaine

  • Anyone who says to PnP is not your friend!!!!!

Decanted 1.5 hrs prior to heading to Farm in Napa. Was nice upon opening, 92 points. Little closed. Short finish.

Decanted again at the restaurant. After a full 2 hour decant moved up to 94 points. After 3 hours it hit shazam mode ))) up to 96. Even up to 98 points on hour 4.

This was gorgeous after proper decant. So silky smoooooth. Elegant great balance long suave finish. What a nose! A+ Loved it as did the wife who has never given 96 points to a wine.

Drink as often as possible and repeat with Pete (me!!). Thanks )))

  • Initially thin and lacking charm, this changed greatly in the decanter. It turned into a lovely bottle—good backbone of fruit, complex, muscular, if lacking a bit in finesse and purity of expression next to a Lafarge Volnay that we enjoyed with it. Still, this got more votes and won the comparison by a nose.

  • This took about an hour to really open up. At first, the palate was a little thin and the nose was a bit shy. When it really opened up, it blossomed with all sorts of perfumes and elegance to the tones of strawberries, raspberries, a touch of VA, herbs, crushed rocks, sour red fruits, violets, rose petals, and Christmas spice notes. The Medium bodied feel is silky and refined with crisp, medium+ acidity. There is some extra weight to the feel with it showing off a lovely deftness as well. This is just sexy. There is a slight shyness at first, but it really blooms into the class wine I expected it to be. There is still a lot of primary qualities to the fruit at this time, but by no means is it young. Instead, this is showing off a lot of balance and maturity that while still possessing a youthful energy.
