  • Gold/Salmon colored, bight pinot fruit. very full and gorgeous on the palate. A rather stunning pinot. It has the color of other "orange" wines, but not the oxidation of a Gravner for example. Highly recommended.

  • Popped and poured. Color pale salmon in bottle borders on gold in glass. Nose shows fruit cocktail melange. Swishing shows it's stern acid based structure and pretty intense minerality. Sipping is all grigio fruit and minerality. Palate took me by surprise at first given the color but very nice.
After open a couple nights this is even better. Blindfolded would definitely guess Pinot grigio but not rose. Odd for rose but really very good and probably worthy price of admission for most.

(Valter Scarbolo Pinot Grigio Ramato XL, Friuli Grave DOC) Deep copper color, with aromas of ripe Bosc pear, mandarin orange, and radish. This beautifully textured wine offers notes of currant and orange torte on the finish. Friuli: Rolling Hills and Multifaceted Wines
