Loved it! The Tinta de Toro varietal is all that I had read about. More fruit than its cousins the Tempranillo, this bottle was complex with blended in tanins and a medium body feel (probably normal after 13 years).

A stunningly good 11 year Tempranillo drinking at its peak. Pitch black to the edge, nose filling aromas, concentrated from sniff to swallow, superbly balanced and integrated acid, fruit, and tannin. Delicious and rich black cherry, lush and caressing texture. Nothing harsh, sour, thin, astringent, or tightly wound. Excellent with food. Moved right into the top tier of my wines to find and buy more. Postscript: I kept this wine open for 2 weeks, tasting it against a diverse array of excellent wines, with this common result. No matter how excellent the other dry red wine was, this wine was not blown off the table. In short, no matter how superb the other wine beside it was, the Carodorum had the astonishing ability to remain competitive against it, which comes down to this - the Corodorum had some of what made every other dry red wine excellent, whether it was fruit, structure, richness, texture, complexity, concentration, or whatever.

Very full bodied, tannic. Good with BBQ
The wine looks purple colored. The body is full. The wine has fleshy texture. The wine finishes long.

Great red fruit flavors, well integrated tannins, and a long finish. Worth the wait.
