IMO, it was critical that the Luce weakness was faded fruit, not oxidized flavor. For now, we'll enjoy the marriage! Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. My evaluation: For me, scores on a "100-point scale" are misleading. I use a 4-category scale (perhaps with +/-)--not including flawed--which runs outstanding/notable/drinkable/poor. At this stage, this is only drinkable on its own when considering quality, age, and price; but the marriage is notable+--better than either one alone.

  A Christmas Tasting in Maine (Bangor, Maine): Tasted from Magnum this showed a lovely perfume of forest floor, earth, funk, with dried fruits & flowers. Unfortunately this wine is beyond it's prime and has fallen in the mouth as it's limp and a bit harsh on the finish. If you have this it needs to be consumed
