  Medium garnet, cloudy with fine sediments, and significantly browning fading edges. Strong herbal fungal aromas and some candied cranberry. Tannins still some bite considering its age, and still some bright acids, with red cherry, cranberry, fern and tar, some lichens and tree bark, and cloves. The cherry flavours were actually stubbornly persistent, towards a long finish. Remarkable considering its age
