PnP a few days ago out of the cellar. Just getting back to half the remaining bottle to do a TN. Pale ruby/purple at the core. This Gamay/Pinot/Malbec blend has a med intensity nose of wet soil, smoke, black cherry, and tart cherry pit. The palate of this dry wine shows a med bodied wine with med alcohol. The med intensity flavors of cherry cola, tart bing cherry skin, orange zest, and a laser streak of minerality are supported by med tannins that are round and supple, and med+ acidity that makes this wine scream for food. The med length finish is tart cherry and a hint of citrus zest. This Cheverny is drinking perfectly now, and will last through 2015 or so. Nice.
Even less appealing than the first two bottles. One dimensional and a flavor that just didn't work for us. We ended up using it for cooking a stew in violation of "don't cook with wine you wouldn't drink".
