Clear red, hint of orange edge, long thin drops. Graphite, blackberry , black cherry , vanilla , tobacco , oak and undergrowth nose. Red cherry , black cherry , red apple and redcurrant taste. Bright fruit, some secondary aromas, tannins had good grip on teeth on opening , which softened after half an hour or so. Good acidity to balance the tannins and fruit.

Still tightly wound, the bouquet and profile. The second day revealed a pomegranate, blackberry, violet, sweet herb, and mineral driven bouquet. A rustic Pommard, offering surprising tannin...and yet with that lovely Burgundian textural nuance coming through.
Overall, this remains a young wine, indeed, very young. I would not hesitate to hold bottles for another seven to ten years. Improvement seems possible.

No detailed notes as this was consumed some time ago, but both my wife and I recall this as being outstanding. Ethereal black fruits, minerals and floral notes with excellent balance.

Tuesday Night Double Blind $40+ (Bin 75 Alpharetta, GA): Dark ruby, clarity, pale rim; youthful nose, ripe, oak not yet fully integrated, all the aesthetics of a very nice wine, great balance, rich, high toned youthfulness but not the mid palate density I was hoping for, clove and oak spice, silkier tannin; considered Pousse Volnay but went with Perrot Minot Gevrey '14.

Over two days. Minimal bricking.
