  • Outstanding 20 years old California Cab! Surprisingly quite fruit forward despite the age...!
Not overly complex, but in a good place and quite enjoyable!

  • Again, very much the wine I expected. Fruit driven cabernet that continues to develop very nicely. Bright deep red in colour and does not suggest 16 years of aging. Dark red cherry , almost plum nose with light leather earthy note. Focussed palate, balanced and moderately long finish. Drinks well now but no need to rush. (91)

  • Very much the wine I expected. Fruit driven cabernet that has now developed nice complexity, but still in the primary fruit stage. Bright mid red in colour; does not suggest 11 years of aging. Dark red cherry nose with light leather earthy note. Lush palate, balanced and moderately long finish. Reminiscent of baby Caymus Special Selection, just scaled down in every aspect. Drinks well now.

  • Inky purple, full bodied. Currant, olive, menthol, and tobacco on the nose. Very evolved and complex palate with flavors of dark chocolate and black cherries. The tannins have had plenty of time to settle down and integrate. Nice long finish leaving a slightly minty taste. Great wine in a mediocre vintage.

  • Impressive ... perfect balance. This cab is already showing development, morphing from primary fruit into a whirl of earth, mint, menthol and dried black and red cherry. The texture was velvety and continued to impressive over 2+ hours. The tannons are not completely resolved ... continue to enjoy now and over the next 5 years.
