  • Last bottle. Drank the prior two bottles approximately 2 1/2, and three, years ago. Color of medium dark red. Scents of raspberry, red cherry and blackberry. Tastes were consistent with scents, but it was monotone sweet fruit.

  • Black raspberry, earth and spices on the nose. It's been almost four months since my prior bottle and not a tremendous amount of change. Remains medium to full bodied and still needs an hour open to fully come together. All blackfruit upfront, mostly black raspberry followed by more tart blackfruit notes of black cherry and plum. Wine has good finishing structure and acidity dominant length. Also a very nice burst of black cherry which lingers. If you enjoy fruit forward, I'd drink within the next year or so, but the wine does have the fruit and structure to evolve beyond that style.

  • Solid medium bodied Pinot with good acidity, minerality, and good finish. Nose could have been stronger

  • Blackfruit, earth and spices on the nose. Perhaps a little over medium bodied and as a previous reviewer has noted, much of the hyper-jammy raspberry and plum notes have integrated well with time. Took about an hour from opening to fully integrate. Still shows black raspberry and plum upfront, but they're much smoother and rounder than my prior bottle (September 2015). A bit more on the tart qualities of black cherry and strawberry and nice finishing length. As with all Loring wines, the fruit is the main attraction here and this wine delivered without being over the top. This bottle came off as more balanced than my prior one, but given how quickly this has evolved (in just 8 months), I would drink these in the next two years.

  • Brian makes his wine to drink young but this wine is spot on here. It's developed nicely and much of the heavy plum fruits that often pervade his wine have blown off. It's a lighter Pinot (at this age) and I found it to be elegant (not the word I'd usually use for LWC wines) and well-balanced.
