Red and black fruit, kirsch, earth and mineral flavors. Medium bodied, wonderful balance, this wine is beautiful. Decanted for half-hour, the wine is in perfect harmony.

We popped and poured: bright garnet, no sign of aging. The nose was a bit muted initially, with stewed plums, dust and garrigue -- with time it opened. At first, this wine felt a bit diluted on the mid-palate; after 1-hour the sweetness of the dark fruits filled in. There is good complexity, still a bit of bite, but nicely balanced by the sweetness of the fruit, the finish showing a subtle underbrush of thyme and lavender. Overall a very pleasant wine - I would decant for ~ 1 hour. I wouldn't hold on to these too long - I have a few bottles left and will drink them within 1-2 years.

Delicious red and dark cherry and fruit flavors, earth, mineral, and lavender flavors, smooth texture and long finish. Got better as the night went on, so it still has life. A wonderful gigondas.

Fresh and rich with sweet dark fruits with a long, smooth, finish. The tannins smoothed out after 2 hours in the decanter. Drinking well now but will go for years

Delicious red cherry, kirsch and earth flavors. Long finish with dried cherries. Decanted and still delicious two hours later.
