Gave this 90 pts last time. Tonight it was wine #2 and in comparison to first wine this was like drinking a 2x4 piece of lumber. All the dark fruit is still there but the oak was over the top. Pair this with a grilled steak and its all good....alone, not so much.

First few sips were the best. Dark color; heavy; even smells full bodied; firm & fine tannins; fruit bomb. Mellowed after 1 hour. This is fun to drink. Only knock is a lack of sophistication. Paid about $25 so QPR is good.

Inky violet color with dark fruit, floral, earthy, and slight oak aromas. On the palate, it's full-bodied, and slightly tannic with blackberry cobbler, vanilla spice, and cocoa flavors. Medium finish. 15% alcohol. Retail $35 Aged in French and American oak. 291 cases produced
