Allowed to breathe in glass 30 minutes before tasting. Generous dark fruit, creme de cassis, roast beef, earthy mushrooms, mocha spiced with nutmeg. Seamless, full body, noticeable alcohol. Still excellent after 24 hours under vacuum stopper.

My first "review" here folks. I found this wine to be a bit muted and pale with a short finish after decanting for 2 hours. I think I should have drank this in 2010 from the looks of it. A very overall light cab that opened up the next day after letting it sit. I have one more bottle of this, and I'm opening it soon.

Still drinking OK but do not hold on to this one. Bought it in a vertical of Arrowood Cabs. Off vintage but very nice wine. Most of the fruit is gone but nice eucalytpus, slight minty, and cigar box components to this dry, food friendly wine. Drink up.

"At the tipping point." This was almost a 90-point wine, but I finally decided it was just slightly lacking. The nose is nice peppery spice with some sandalwood and toasted tones. The color was pale burgundy with a slightly orange tint on the rim. The wine really opened up after an hour and was nicely balanced but the flavors of white pepper and peat did not let the fruit shine through enough for me. The finish was adequate, but not special. Still, a nicely aged wine that was quite enjoyable.

Leathery, earthy subdued currant, black cherry, berry and plum with a smooth refined but short finish. Tasted from magnum.
